AIDA GreenRig

Sensor-based rig services from Las Palmas

The planned international venture connecting PUSH technology with practical offshore and rig services, with Las Palmas as a possible operating base between Europe, the Atlantic and West Africa.

Rigs, FPSOs, offshore vessels and industrial installations contain large amounts of rotating equipment. Pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, fans, thrusters and gear systems are critical to operation. When such equipment stops unexpectedly, it affects safety, production, logistics and cost.

GreenRig will use PUSH as the technical entry point to a long-term customer relationship. Once sensors are installed, a continuous data stream is established that can support analysis, maintenance planning, spare parts management, reporting and further engineering work.

The plan is to build the business around five connected service areas: sensors and software, with installation, follow-up and subscription to data and analysis services; predictive maintenance, using sensor data to plan inspections, service and energy-efficient upgrades; spare parts and logistics, with needs identified earlier and better control of delivery; documentation and classification support, in the form of structured condition reports and service history; and project coordination across yards, suppliers, specialists and maintenance stops.

GreenRig will not build every discipline in-house. The model is that AIDA provides technology, data analysis, engineering and coordination, while established yards and local specialists carry out work within their own fields. That makes it possible to scale without owning the entire delivery chain. The customer gets one point of contact and one consolidated basis for decisions, while the work is performed by parties with the right local capacity, certification and experience.

Much of the world's offshore and maritime infrastructure will remain in operation for many years. GreenRig aims to help existing equipment run more safely, more energy-efficiently and with better documentation. Better condition data can extend component life, reduce unnecessary replacement and make maintenance more targeted.

The business model combines project revenue with recurring revenue. Hardware, installation and engineering generate revenue at the outset, while software, data analysis and ongoing follow-up can produce subscriptions over time. The first phase is planned around product validation, pilot installations, necessary approvals and building a small operating organisation.
