Staffing that starts with the work to be done
A project needs a technician. Who has the right experience, the necessary documentation and the ability to turn up when the work starts? AIDA Staffing matches competence to specific needs — and is building a digital platform that brings more of the process together.

A project needs a technician. Start-up is approaching, the work is defined and the equipment is ready. Yet one decisive question remains: who has the right experience, the necessary documentation and the ability to turn up when the work is due to start?
A job title alone does not answer it. Two people with the same trade certificate can have very different experience. One candidate may be well qualified but busy during the period in question. Another may be available but lack a course the assignment requires.
AIDA Staffing is meant to make it easier to get an overview of these factors and match competence to specific needs in offshore, maritime and industrial projects. The staffing service is already in operation. At the same time we are developing a digital platform to bring more of the process together, from registration and staffing requests to candidate assessment, pricing and follow-up.
At AIDA, staffing is closely tied to technical understanding and experience from the field. When a customer needs personnel, we want to understand the task. What equipment will the work be carried out on? Is it installation, maintenance, troubleshooting or commissioning? Will the person work independently, as part of a team or coordinating others? Location, duration, rotation and documentation requirements also need to be clarified, as do expectations around language, practical experience and mobilisation.
This information gives a better basis for assessing candidates. A person can have a strong CV without being right for this particular assignment. Another may have highly relevant hands-on experience that does not come through in the job title. The goal is to find the competence the task actually calls for.
If you would like assignments through AIDA, it starts with registering your CV at aid-a.no. The CV gives us a starting point for understanding your background. Relevant experience, discipline, courses and certificates help show which tasks you could be suited for.
In the platform we are building, this information will be organised into a more structured candidate profile. The profile will bring together experience, documentation, languages, previous projects and the practicalities of mobilisation. Availability is an important part of this. Which periods can you work? Which rotations suit you? Where can you take assignments, and how quickly can you be ready? The ambition is that candidates keep their own details up to date. We are also planning notifications before registered courses and certificates expire, so that the need for renewal is picked up earlier.
An up-to-date profile makes it easier for AIDA to consider you when a relevant need arises. Registration is not, however, a guarantee of assignments; competence, availability and the customer's requirements have to line up.
Customers should be able to approach AIDA with a specific staffing need. It might be a particular specialist for a defined job, extra capacity during a project period, or several people with complementary skills. We clarify which role is to be filled, which requirements apply and when the personnel must be available. Suitable candidates are then assessed against the task.
In the digital solution, the aim is for the customer to register the need in a structured way. Start date, duration, location, rotation and qualification requirements will all be part of the same request. This should reduce the need for repeated clarifications and make it easier to present relevant candidates with a clear basis for decision. Before start-up, the candidate's availability must be confirmed, the documentation checked and the terms of the assignment settled.
AI-assisted matching is a central part of the platform we are developing. The aim is for the system to compare the needs of the assignment with the information in the candidate profiles. The assessment will cover more than matching words in a CV and a job description. Relevant experience, courses, documentation, availability and the practicalities of start-up will all be included. A candidate may, for example, have worked on comparable equipment in another industry, even though the job title is different. The AI support is meant to find such connections and make the first sorting more efficient. The system should also be able to flag information that is missing or needs clarifying.
The final assessment will be quality-assured by people. An automatic recommendation does not in itself document that a certificate is valid, that the experience is sufficient or that the person can mobilise. AIDA will still check relevant qualifications, documentation, references and availability. The technology is there to give us a better basis for doing that job.
When a customer is looking into staffing, cost is an important part of the decision. That is why we are developing the platform with the ambition of giving an immediate, indicative price based on the information in the request. An estimate like that should make it easier to weigh up alternatives and plan the project. It also has to rest on clear assumptions. Location, period, rotation, travel and other terms of the assignment can affect the overall cost. An indicative price and a final offer are therefore separate steps. Final price and delivery must be clarified and confirmed before the assignment starts. For AIDA, transparency also means the customer understanding what the offer covers, and which points, if any, remain to be clarified.
A staffing assignment is not finished when the candidate is chosen. Before mobilisation, expectations, points of contact and practical arrangements must be in place. Along the way the assignment may change, the period may be extended or new needs may arise. That is when good dialogue between the candidate, the customer and AIDA matters.
As we develop the platform further, we are also looking at how document follow-up, timesheets and invoicing data can be brought together better. The aim is more continuity through the assignment and less duplicated work. These functions are part of the development work. Human follow-up remains decisive for the delivery to work in practice.
AIDA is building a staffing service in which technical understanding, personal follow-up and digital tools work together. For the candidate, that means the chance to make relevant experience visible and be considered for assignments that fit their competence and availability. For the customer, the goal is a better overview of available resources, clearer clarifications and a better basis for planning mobilisation.
We want the path from need to start-up to be easier to follow, and the personnel who go out to be prepared for the work that is actually waiting. Do you have competence you would like to put to use through AIDA, or does your business need personnel for a project? Register your CV or get in touch about your staffing needs at aid-a.no.
