New York to Las Vegas
A drive across the United States, with the Nissan Skyline project as a rolling laboratory for PUSH. Thousands of kilometres of changing temperature, altitude and load — ending at SEMA Show 2026.

AIDA is now planning one of our most ambitious field tests so far: a drive across the United States, from New York to Las Vegas.
The trip is scheduled to start in New York in late October 2026. From there we head west across the country, ending in Las Vegas for SEMA Show 2026, held 3–6 November at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
This will be far more than a road trip. The aim is to gather data, test PUSH under varied and demanding conditions, visit prospective customers and partners, and meet companies working with vehicles, sensor technology, engineering and rotating equipment.
The Nissan Skyline project was the starting point for PUSH. The car is a powerful and largely analogue platform without the extensive factory monitoring found in modern vehicles, which makes it particularly well suited as a demonstration platform. PUSH is used to collect and analyse data from the engine, gearbox, propshaft and chassis, among others. The sensors record vibration, temperature, sound, running hours, load and other changes that reveal how the mechanical components are actually doing.
Over the course of the trip the car will face long running hours, varied road surfaces, changing temperatures, differences in altitude, city driving, highways and fluctuating load. That gives us a substantial and valuable dataset that is difficult to reproduce in a controlled test environment.
In the first phase, PUSH learns how the car and its individual components behave in normal operation. Once a baseline is established, the system can begin to identify changes and deviations in the signal picture. Can it distinguish normal variation from real change? Can it detect small changes in engine, gearbox or driveline before they become noticeable to the driver? These are some of the questions we want answered.
The data is sent to the cloud-based PUSH platform, where signals are analysed and compared over time. The trip will also be used to test service follow-up based on actual running hours and load, connecting technical condition with upcoming service needs, expected costs, required spare parts and delivery times.
Although the Skyline serves as the test platform, the technology is built for far more than vehicles. The principle is the same for an engine, fan, pump, compressor or gearbox on an offshore installation. All mechanical equipment has a normal operating pattern, and when that pattern shifts, it can be an early signal of wear, imbalance, rising temperature or a fault beginning to develop.
The route between New York and Las Vegas is not merely a transport stage. We intend to use the trip actively to visit prospective customers, suppliers, technology companies, workshops and other relevant industrial environments. Along the way we will demonstrate PUSH, discuss possible applications and explore opportunities for future pilot projects in the United States. The final route will therefore be shaped around customer meetings, events and partners.
To plan and coordinate the journey, AIDA has chosen TravelMate as travel agent and partner. TravelMate will assist with planning, travel logistics, accommodation and practical arrangements along the way. When a trip combines customer visits, events, data collection and participation at SEMA, good planning becomes decisive.
SEMA brings together the international automotive, technology and aftermarket industry. For AIDA it will be an important arena to present the story behind PUSH, meet prospective technology partners and explore opportunities for further testing and commercialisation in the American market.
We will share updates, images and experiences from the planning and from the drive itself. Afterwards we will also present some of the findings and show what PUSH has learned along the way.
